Support Groups and Treatment Resources: 

 

Anxiety and Depression Association of America- Provides resources and support groups  (virtual and in person) to prevent, treat, and cure depression and anxiety disorders.

 

National Eating Disorder Association- NEDA supports those affected by eating disorders and assists individuals through the recovery process. 

 

Alcoholics Anonymous- The goal of A. A is to help its members achieve sobriety. There is no age or education requirement to be a member. Find an A.A. program near you. 

 

Narcotics Anonymous- N.A. offers a twelve-step drug recovery program, including weekly meetings. N.A. membership is free for all. 

 

Self Mutilators Anonymous - Self Mutilators Anonymous provides virtual support groups that help individuals recover from self-injury. 

 

Federation of Families for Children’s Mental Health: The National Federation of Families is a national family-run organization connecting families with emotional, behavioral, or mental health needs.

 

Christi Center: Christi Center provides adult grief services and support groups (virtual and in-person) for those who have experienced the loss of a loved one. 

Educational Resources:  

 

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention- Through research, education, and advocacy, AFSP provides a nationwide community to those affected by suicide. 

 

Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance- DBSA strives to help, support, and educate individuals with mood disorders. 

 

Attention Deficit Disorder Association: ADDA provides adults with ADHD resources to improve their quality of life.

Drugwatch: Drugwatch spreads information about potentially harmful drugs, side effects, medical devices, and procedures.

Obsessive Compulsive Foundation- IOCDF provides help, healing, and hope to those affected by OCD. 

 

TARA National Association for Personality Disorder- TARA4BPD aims to help those struggling with borderline personality disorder through its support of educational programs

The Trevor Project:  The Trevor Project provides 24/7 support to young LGBTQ+ people via trained counselors available by call and text. 


Now Matters Now: Now Matters Now provides Dialectical Behavior Therapy or DBT resources, which are helpful to most people, including those who do not struggle with mental health issues.
