Meet Zoya Haq

Zoya Haq is a community builder, advocate, and educational activist. Her social impact journey began at a young age, when she raised $10k+ for underprivileged children's education through an international venture in memory of her late grandmother, The Tahira Project. In June of 2020, Haq co-founded HiStory Retold. She has served as HiStory Retold's President since the fall of 2020, helping to scale its work to fifteen new states and to dozens of new school communities. In November of 2021, Haq was recognized for her trailblazing work in educational equity and curriculum activism as one of 8 national Ashoka Young Changemakers. She also received the 2022 Princeton Prize in Race Relations for the Dallas-Fort Worth region.
